In a moment that will undoubtedly be etched in my memory for years to come, I had the honour of being the guest speaker at the prestigious UK Universities Sales Competition 2024. It was a privilege not just to deliver a talk, but to be welcomed with such incredible warmth and hospitality by the Lord Provost Bill Campbell of Dundee.
The event itself was a showcase of brilliance, with young minds from across the nation coming together, demonstrating their skills, passion, and limitless potential. The universities represented included the University of York, Abertay University, Coventry University, and Edinburgh Napier University. The students were nothing short of magnificent. Each participant, a credit to their institution and the broader academic community highlighted what it means to strive for excellence in their field.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to Peter Waggott, whose efforts were instrumental in the success of this event. His dedication and commitment to fostering a platform for these young professionals to shine were truly commendable.

Reflecting on the journey to Scotland, I thought... "a 13-hour train ride for a 30-minute speech", and I would do it over and over again because I believe that words have power – the power to inspire change, to transform lives, and to make a meaningful impact, even in the briefest of interactions.
This was the driving force behind my trip to Abertay University. It was an opportunity to not only share insights and experiences but to be a part of something much larger than any individual achievement – to contribute to the shaping of future leaders and innovators.
My journey to Scotland and the UK Universities Sales Competition stands as a reminder of the ripple effect that encouragement, knowledge, and belief can have on the individuals who will shape our tomorrow. It underscores the importance of investing in our youth, and providing them with the platforms to learn, grow, and excel.
